Ask the Oracle
Simple, Fast, Easy Oracle
"Ask the Oracle" is a quick and easy dice rolling app that can answer any yes/no question you might have for your Solo DnD adventures.
It works off of a D12, offering an range split between the following answers:
No, Maybe/Sort Of, Yes
It also has options for if you feel the answer is likely or unlikely to be yes.
Uses and Benefits
The obvious use is in fleshing out the world of your Solo adventures. You can ask a yes or no question and roll the die to get an answer that is unbiased.
However, relying on an oracle can also help a game master who might not have an immediate answer or who might want a world or adventure to feel less designed.
Features
This basic web app works at virtually any resolution, provided your device is at least 400 pixels in either axis.
It includes some visual effects that add to the immersion of an oracle reading the future.
Note from the Dev
I used this tool with great success in a DnD adventure I hosted for a group. While I designed it for solo adventures, I was happy that it allowed my group's campaign setting feel more alive. I've used oracle dice and similar systems for my own solo adventures, but this was the first time I used it as a Game Master.
If you use this tool for your home games or as a GM assistant, feel free to let me know in the comments.
I also feel like using this tool takes some of the stress away from the position of GM.
