Beyond the Skies

Galactic Skies is a space travel simulation app that intended for streaming a party's travel time between one star system and the next.

You can load it up on an app like Discord and stream the transit as your party of players engage in roleplay.

They're done already?  No problem!  Just hit the fast travel button to fly to your destination in seconds, rather than minutes.

Special Controls:

E (Emergency Stop):  Press 'Ctrl + E' at any time during flight to generate an anomaly in space.  This could be another craft or a celestial body like a black hole.

R (Resolve): Press 'Ctrl + R' to resolve any current emergency anomalies and clear them from the screen.

Alternatively, you can use the on-screen buttons.

Limitations of the Web Version

The web player on this page won't allow you to upload your own custom galaxies.  If you'd like to do that, go ahead and download the PC or LINUX versions of the software.  Either one will get you there.

Mobile Devices

This app was not intended for Mobile Devices.  After some testing, I found that one cannot load up the default galaxy on an android device.  This could be due to some permissions issues, though I'm not sure.  I apologize for the inconvenience.

Special Update UI and Auto Flight

As of now, you can cycle between different UI hiding options with 'Ctrl + U' while playing the game.

You can also toggle Screen Saver Mode by pressing 'Ctrl + S', which causes your ship to randomly select a planet or star in the Galaxy and travel to it.  It sticks around the celestial body for a minute.
