Geo Mantra Core
A downloadable TTRPG

No need for a table, but open to friends. Explore GM-less adventures in far away lands on nothing but a pack of six-sided dice.
Grab a set of 6 six-sided dice, a character sheet, and whatever story's been living in your head for the last year. Play out your favorite OC in their fictional universe, live the AU your favorite show never got to, go on that side quest as a background NPC.

And, remember to pack a lunch before heading off to the land of make-believe.

Geo Mantra Core runs best with real stakes. Wounds track how much you've endured. Mantra tracks fuel for your special stuff (magic, tech, ammo).
Good Fits
- A side story set in your favorite video game.
- A monster-of-the-week creature feature.
- A homebrew fantasy/sci-fi campaign.
- A street-level superhero crawl.
Not-So-Good Fits
- Overpowered protagonists who play the game on easy mode.
- Characters with unlimited health, magic, or regeneration.
Want grimdark or horror instead? Drop to a lower Attribute spread and use the System Shock Table. The game gets meaner fast.

Roll a handful of d6s equal to your Attribute. Count the 5s and 6s as hits. 0 and you fail. 1 and you succeed with a complication. 2 or more and it's a complete success.
- Built and balanced for solo play, but with tools to invite friends to the table.
- A Mixed Success cheat sheet for complications.
- You're always the one rolling. Enemies and hazards don't take turns. Instead, they're presented as challenges you react to, though there can be consequences for ignoring a dangerous foe.
- A progression system, so your character isn't merely just surviving.
- Tables for almost everything you need on an adventure (names, complications, NPCs, plot hooks, and more) for when you want a little nudge.

I’ve been actively running and refining Geo Mantra for the last six months prior to the system's launch here and I don't intend to stop just because the game is published.
Expect regular updates to the rules, layout, and wording as I continue to find and sand down rough edges.
I'm not putting a 1.0 version on this project until I'm absolutely satisfied with every little piece of the rulebook.

Free now. Free later. Free forever. I'd rather more people get to play this system that has given me such joy and creativity than to make a few gold off of it.
If you want to support this game, tell me what adventures you went on.

Hack it. Remix it. Publish your own supplements and homebrew. You don’t need to ask me first. Just credit me when you do put something out there.
